queen city unity's
coatS, sockS, &
pajama drive
November 1 - December 3
Queen City Unity was proud to partner with the Mecklenburg County Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL) in 2017 for our Coats, Socks, and Pajama Drive. It was our inaugural year and we were looking forward to providing local foster kids of all backgrounds in Charlotte the necessary clothing items to be warm during the winter.
All of the donations went directly to children in foster care in Mecklenburg County through the Guardian ad Litem program, it’s foundation, and in conjunction with Youth and Family Services
We were very proud of how much the communities in Charlotte contributed and we were blessed to present over 10,000 lbs. of clothing to all 754 children in foster care. This year, we have a goal of collecting and distributing over 15,000 lbs. of clothing to the children in foster care and you can help.

There are two ways in which you can donate. You can donate a gently used coat by scheduling a donation pick up at your doorstep or place of business. Don't have a gently used coat? Not a problem. You can make a tax-deductible donation and help us purchase socks and pajamas for these amazing children.

It's that easy and you can make a major difference in the lives of these children. We hope that you join us as we serve this diverse group of kids.
